Zoe Schaver

LCSW, Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

Therapy is an existential process — diving into your internal world, as well as exploring the relationships that connect you to people and communities outside of yourself. It can be intimidating to seek someone you trust to safely accompany you on that expedition. My hope is to be your collaborative, calm, and cooperative travel companion. I love working with couples and families seeking someone to help them connect with one another and heal damaged bonds. In the words of Ram Dass, “We are all just walking each other home.”

I have professional and personal experience with addiction, ADHD, and queer identity. I am trained in EMDR and Emotionally-Focused Couple and Family Therapy, working toward certification in both. I am passionate about the power of mindfulness and have used DBT and ACT, which I have also received training in, to help clients build mindfulness practices.

Through my own experience as a therapy client, person in recovery, and human being with at-times-overwhelming emotions, I have found that there is nothing more meaningful to me than being invited into someone else’s human experience, assisting in the search for peace and a sense of connection.

As a therapist, you can expect me to be warm, affirming, and curious, and to have a sense of humor. If it feels like we might be a fit, please reach out!
